About me

I am Md Mortuza Hossain, a dedicated and innovative researcher specializing in Animal Biotechnology with a focus on non-ruminant nutrition and gut health. Born in Bangladesh and currently based in South Korea, my academic journey led me to earn a Ph.D. in Animal Biotechnology from Dankook University, where I explored the potential of phytogenic feed additives in enhancing non-ruminant animal performance. This follows a solid foundation in Poultry Science from Bangladesh Agricultural University, where my research contributed to safe egg production.

My research endeavors have been recognized and supported by prestigious scholarships, including the Brain Korea 21 Plus Award, affirming my commitment to advancing the field of animal science. My work spans various facets of animal nutrition, microbiology, and biotechnology, with a particular interest in reducing gas emissions from farms, improving gut health, and developing sustainable alternatives to antibiotics. This has resulted in impactful publications in reputable journals and presentations at international conferences.

Fluent in Bangla, English, and Korean (Basic), I am equipped with a broad set of skills, from statistical analysis and scientific writing to advanced laboratory techniques. I am a proactive member of both the Korean Society of Animal Science and Technology and the Bangladesh Animal Husbandry Association, advocating for collaborative, innovative, and ethical research practices.

Outside the lab, I am deeply engaged with the scientific community, sharing knowledge, and fostering partnerships that bridge gaps between research and practical application. My career is dedicated not only to advancing animal health and nutrition but also to contributing to the global challenges of food security and sustainable agricultural practices.
